NICKI MINAJ was supposed to perform at New York's Hot 97 Summer Jam concert on Sunday night, but LIL WAYNE yanked her out of the line-up at the last minute after she was DISSED onstage. (--Nicki is on Wayne's Young Money label.)
--It started when Hot 97 DJ Peter Rosenberg, who was emceeing the event, said, quote, "I know there are some chicks in here waiting to sing along with 'Starships' later. I'm not talking to y'all now. [Eff] that bull[crap]."
(--There's video of that dis on YouTube. WARNING: It's UNCENSORED.)
--Word of that got back to Wayne, and he immediately canceled Nicki's performance. He Tweeted, "Young Money ain't doing Summer Jam."
--And Nicki took to Twitter herself to say, quote, "Wow. You [N-words] just [effed] up history. But the President has spoken . . . Had a HELL of [an effing] lineup. But we won't be disrespected."
--She later added that her set would've featured appearances from Cam'ron, Nas, Lauryn Hill, Beenie Man, Foxy Brown, Lil Wayne, Birdman and Tyga.
--For what it's worth, Rosenberg isn't taking it back. Yesterday morning, he said, quote, "Hey, I went out there, I was hosting, I was in the zone of doing real hip-hop. I just said what came to mind and everyone made a big deal about it.
--"I’m absolutely not apologizing because I didn't do anything wrong." And in an interview with TMZ, he added that he didn't want beef with Nicki, but he still thinks "Starships" is, quote, "wack and corny." (--Here's video.)
