One Crime is Linked to Facebook Every 40 Minutes

These numbers come from England, but we're guessing they apply over here too.  According to the latest numbers, one crime is linked to Facebook EVERY 40 MINUTES.  The most common types of crimes are cyberbullying and fraud . . . but much more serious crimes are linked to Facebook too, like kidnapping and murder.

--The most common types of crimes are cyberbullying and fraud . . . but Facebook is also linked to assaults, kidnapping, sexual predators, death threats, witness intimidation, murder, and rape.

 

 

--Facebook says it works with law enforcement to help fight crime on its site and bring criminals to justice.

 

 

--A spokesman also says, quote, "Facebook users act as the world's largest neighborhood watch and are active in keeping the site safe."

FACEBOOK COMEDY:  Facebook has lifted the ban on children under 13 signing up for accounts.  However, still no plan to lift the ban on stay-at-home moms posting cloying photos of their babies with riveting captions like, "Look who enjoyed his strained beets today!"
