STAR JONES made a fool of herself yesterday on the "Today" show, during a discussion about ANDERSON COOPER coming out of the closet. She basically said he did it for the RATINGS.
--She said, quote, "He's a daytime talk show host and when the ratings slip in daytime, the hosts tend to tell you lots of things about them.
--"I remember Oprah said she smoked crack, Oprah said she was pregnant at 14 and considered suicide. There [are] times that you generate information for ratings."
--Then she quickly added, quote, "Whoa! I'm sorry that I said that! I say bravo for him." (--Here's video. Skip forward to the 3:30 mark.)

(--Look . . . who's to say Anderson DIDN'T come out for ratings? It's entirely possible. But there always has to be some A-HOLE who comes out and says it without any kind of proof.)
(--And THAT'S the problem: Unless you have proof, there's just no reason to say it. It doesn't make you seem somehow cooler or smarter. You just look like more of a cynical jackass.)
