PPM Version:
TMZ claims MARIAH CAREY and NICKI MINAJ are already "at each other's throats." But Mariah and Nicki say they're getting along fine . . . at least for now.
Full Version:
MARIAH CAREY and NICKI MINAJ began working together on "American Idol" on Sunday . . . and TMZ claims they were already "at each other's throats."
--Supposedly, they kept interrupting each other while critiquing contestants, and a "source" says, quote, "These girls just don't like each other."
--But yesterday, Mariah said they haven't had time to hate each other. She joked, quote, "How can we feud in two days? I think a feud takes a little longer to happen." And Nicki added, quote, "[We're] getting along wonderfully, darling."
--For what it's worth, last month, TMZ claimed Mariah "hung up the phone" when she was first told Nicki was the top candidate to be a judge, because Mariah wanted to be the only woman on the panel, and didn't want to be overshadowed by Nicki.
(--As much as everyone loves a scandal, remember: "Idol" has $30 million invested in these two ladies, in what's arguably a make-or-break season.)
(--Do you really think the producers would haphazardly throw this together without getting a good feel for what the dynamic between Mariah and Nicki would be?)
(--So if there ever IS any drama between them . . . it's probably intentional.)
