Everything Was Back to Normal on the "Idol" Set Yesterday

The "American Idol" auditions in Charlotte resumed yesterday, and anonymous "sources" say everything was chill.  In other words, no one threatened to kill anyone else.  In fact, it was described as, quote, "peaceful and professional."

--So, was this chaos anything other than more manufactured drama?  Maybe not.

--A source tells the "Hollywood Reporter", quote, "[This] diva battle is exactly what Fox executives wanted all along.  No one's really worried.  They know the parts they're supposed to play."  (--Yeah . . . but what happens if someone goes off-script?)

"Access Hollywood" - Nick Cannon Says Mariah Handled the Nicki Minaj Fight With Class

Here's Nick Cannon yesterday on the fight between his wife and Nicki Minaj during the "American Idol" auditions.  (--He says Mariah is the strongest and classiest woman he knows.  And the fight was just a distraction, and he hopes the show won't be about their differences.)  (From "Access Hollywood" on Wednesday, October 3, 2012)

"Access Hollywood" - Billy Bush, Kit Hoover, and Nick Cannon Reenact the Fight Between Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj

Yesterday on "Access Hollywood" Nick Cannon had some fun reenacting the big fight between Mariah and Nicki.  Billy Bush and Kit Hoover helped him out.  Obviously they had to skip a lot of what was said, but it was still pretty funny.  Nick played the part of Randy.  (--Billy did Nicki's lines, and Kit did Mariah's.  Nick just jumped in every so often to say, "Time out, dawg.")  (From "Access Hollywood" on Wednesday, October 2, 2012)
