BARBARA WALTERS says MARIAH CAREY told her that she believes Nicki DID threaten to shoot her, and that she's "very concerned" and "uncomfortable emotionally." She says she's hired extra security, and will continue to do the show because, otherwise, she loves it.
--However, Mariah believes she DID say it.
--On "The View" yesterday, BARBARA WALTERS said that she talked to Mariah before the show taped, and Mariah told her that when Nicki walked off the set, "multiple people" heard her say "If I had a gun, I would shoot that [B-word]."
--Mariah said she was "very concerned." She doesn't actually think anything would happen, but she said, quote, "Nicki is unpredictable, and I can't take a chance, so I've hired extra security."
--Mariah said Nicki hasn't apologized . . . but they've been together since then in meetings, and after one, Nicki said, quote, "I love you, but we might fight again," and Mariah responded, quote, "No, we will not."
--Mariah added that she doesn't feel "comfortable emotionally" . . . but says she'll continue with the show because she loves it. (--And, she's under contract.)
(--You can find video of Barbara telling this story on "The View's" website. WARNING: Barbara says the B-word twice. The first time, 50 seconds in, it sounds like the show TRIED to censor it, but they MISSED IT.)
(--"Idol" may very well be LOVING this . . . perhaps this is even the MAIN REASON they brought Nicki onboard . . . but something tells me Mariah was hoping to have a smooth ride like JENNIFER LOPEZ did.)
