Over 39 Million People Watched the Weather Channel on Sunday

 

Over 39 million people watched coverage of Hurricane Sandy on The Weather Channel on Sunday.  The average audience was just over 1.4 million.  (--Fox News's coverage topped all other CABLE NEWS NETWORKS with 3.5 million viewers, and CNN came in second with 2.3 million.)

 

--Here's how a few more notable things did in the ratings last week . . .

 

--The third season premiere of "Happy Endings" on ABC grabbed 5.6 million viewers.

 

--On Friday, 5.5 million people watched the "Munsters" Halloween special, "Mockingbird Lane" on NBC.

 

(--It starred Jerry O'Connell and Portia de Rossi as the mom and dad, and Eddie Izzard as Grandpa Munster.  It was originally supposed to be the pilot episode of a new TV show.  But before it even aired, NBC decided not to pick it up.)

 

--The second season premiere of "Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23" was seen by 4.2 million people on ABC.

 

--The series premiere of Lifetime's new reality show "The Houstons:  On Our Own" nabbed 1.3 million viewers.  (--It follows Whitney Houston's family as they try to move on without her.)

 

--The second season premiere of "Project Runway All Stars" on Lifetime got 1.2 million.

 

--The fifth season premiere of Gordon Ramsey's "Kitchen Nightmares" pulled in 2.7 million viewers on Fox.

 

--And despite going up against the World Series and "Sunday Night Football", Showtime's "Homeland" pulled in 2.1 million viewers, which was up 19% from the week before.
