RadarOnline.com reports that BRITNEY SPEARS may not be back on "X Factor" next season . . . unless she accepts a PAY CUT. She's currently on a one-year deal, which pays her $15 million. (--Fox has renewed the show for a third season.)
--The site quotes an "insider" who basically says that Britney didn't bring the ratings boost that the producers expected . . . and therefore, her huge contract makes less sense, and she could be expendable.
--So would Britney agree to taking less money? Probably not. The insider adds, quote, "When Britney signed [on] she expected to make more if an extension for a third season was agreed. That won't be the case now.
--"It's highly unlikely Britney will accept a pay decrease."
(--There's no official comment on any of this . . . although in a recent interview L.A. REID said that he hopes the show keeps the same panel going forward for consistency. Here's video.)
