After the Grammy nominations were announced, we heard about AL WALSER, who allegedly DUPED the Recording Academy into nominating him and his terrible song in the Best Dance Recording category.
--Well, the Academy says they won't revoke the nomination. A rep says, quote, "The bottom line is he got the votes. That's the long and the short of it . . . people voted for him.
--"We believe that he was a very active marketer of his work, and got his music out to lots and lots of our voting membership, and they chose to vote for it." However, the rep adds there could be a rule change in the future to prevent this from happening again.
