BRANTLEY GILBERT had a huge Sunday. It was his 28th birthday . . . and he also got engaged to JANA KRAMER. The couple released this statement to "People": "We could not be happier. Well, this is a drastic turnaround. A few months ago JANA KRAMER would barely admit she was dating BRANTLEY GILBERT . . . and now she's ready to spend the rest of her life with the guy.
--Brantley proposed to her on Sunday at the Ryman Auditorium. He actually rented the whole place . . . although it's not clear if it was for the proposal or to celebrate his 28th birthday, which was also on Sunday.
--Brantley and Jana are already acting like a couple. They released this statement to "People": "We could not be happier. We are so excited to share this special time with our loved ones and cannot wait to start the rest of our lives together."
--Jana also appreciated Brantley's old school approach. She told "People", quote, "I was so surprised. He asked my mom for permission before he proposed, which meant a lot to me."
--This will be Brantley's first marriage . . . and Jana's second. She was briefly married to actor JOHNATHON SCHAECH back in 2010, but they knew they'd made a mistake after about a month.
